Petersfield physio Louise Hammond pain relief

Louise Hammond qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 and gained experience working in NHS hospitals until 2014 (Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, Middlesex; Farnham Hospital in Surrey and the Alton Community Hospital in Hampshire).  She started using acupuncture to complement her physiotherapy treatment in 1999 while working at Farnham Hospital.  She has worked in private clinics in Hampshire since 2014, at the Alton Health Centre and Boundaries Surgery from 2014-2017, and started this clinic in Petersfield in 2016.

She specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 1999, and has continued to gain experience treating all aspects of musculoskeletal pathologies since then.  She has attended a range of post graduate courses to enable more effective treatment, including advice and exercises aimed at preventing recurrence. These have included courses on all areas of the body including spinal and peripheral joints, courses on pain physiology and management and also courses on acupuncture which she has used regularly since 1999. She ensures to keep up to date with current research into the best way to help people recover from their condition by attending further courses, watching online webinars and lectures, listening to podcasts and reading books, journals and summaries of research. She liaises with General Practitioners and Consultants when appropriate to ensure optimum benefit from treatment.
